Our program is based on the principles of the Montessori Method developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. These programs are individually structured and built to unlock a child’s full potential while allowing them to learn at their own pace along with attention and guidance from our qualified staff within our enriched purpose-built learning environment.

Discover Our Programs

Our Montessori preschool and kindergarten is different than a babysitting service or play school. It is a place that uses a special cycle of learning, designed to take advantage of the child’s sensitive years between three and six when the child is able to absorb information from an enriched environment where the learning program is purposefully structured with the child in mind. These programs are able to better prepare the child for a lifetime of learning and success.
Our fully-accredited Montessori Kindergarten program follows the Alberta Education Curriculum while offering opportunities to go beyond for children who are ready for extra challenges. Students participate in enriching field trips and hands-on activities that bring learning to life. By combining Montessori principles with the Kindergarten curriculum, children are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop as a whole, fostering a lifelong love of learning through an ongoing cycle of fun, curiosity, and discovery.

Primary Program
Our primary program allows children from age 3 through 6, using the Montessori Philosophy to educate your child.

Dr. Montessori believed children learn best during particular sensitive periods. These are periods where children experience a fascination to learn a particular skill, such as numbers, colours, music, language, etc. We teach according to a child’s stage of development – not their age. This prevents learning without drudgery and boredom, and results in creating beings who enjoy a love for learning.
Unlike a traditional school, the Montessori program provides a more hands-on approach to its concepts in a way that helps foster an early enthusiasm for learning. Within the Montessori class the child finds joy and independence in their endeavours. Children have the freedom to choose work, thus gaining a connection and enjoyment in all that they do. Your child will benefit from the multi age classroom that aims for students supporting and mentoring each other, thus enabling independence. Children learn at their own pace which allows one to build a solid foundation in their academic studies.

The individual curriculum is based upon different areas such as:
Language
Children build a strong foundation in communication and early literacy. They develop vocabulary, practice sequencing and storytelling, and explore the sounds of letters through hands-on materials. These experiences support their ability to form words, read phonetically, and express their ideas with increasing confidence.
